EFI MIS solutions improves workflow for UNIMAC Graphics

EFIEFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, has been chosen by UNIMAC Graphics, a complete pre-media, print and digital solutions company, for its EFI MIS solutions to streamline workflow and improve productivity. UNIMAC has now replaced their previous MIS system with Monarch Foundation (formally Hagen™ OA) to successfully implement order processing, RFID inventory management and accounts receivable in just six weeks.

“EFI Monarch streamlines our order entry process, job tracking and scheduling, and allows us to automatically generate invoices,” Dave Klaiss, executive vice-president of UNIMAC said.

In addition, UNIMAC is in the process of installing 13 EFI Auto-Count machines for shop floor data collection in order to gather and count business critical information, such as press status and speeds directly from equipment.

“UNIMAC Graphics understands the important role an MIS system plays in running a smooth operation – especially the right MIS system,” said Jeff White, general manager of EFI Monarch. “They looked beyond the short-term pain of making a switch to the long-term benefits of operating with the powerful combination of Monarch Foundation and Auto-Count. We’re proud to have implemented the solution so quickly, and excited they are seeing positive results already.”

UNIMAC foresees significant improvements in productivity with the estimating and shop floor systems that have been implemented.

“We are very pleased with the EFI results, and in just a few months we have achieved significant automation as well as great visibility into all areas our business,” said Klaiss.
