EFI introduces Pace MIS iPhone app

EFI’s Pace management system is a software solution that has modules for estimating, scheduling, production, accounting, sales management and e-commerce. It is JDF compliant and has a customizable architecture. The company has recently announced that version 22 of the system features an iPhone interface that has been designed with salespeople and executive managers in mind.

The app allows users to monitor customer accounts and jobs in the palm of their hand. Shipments can be tracked and updates can be received from anywhere with an internet connection. Other features include texting and calling within the program, as well as searching maps of customers’ business locations. This technology was demonstrated at Print 09, where visitors to EFI’s booth could see how the app also has the ability to connect to live webcams of a pressroom floor.

“The upcoming release of Pace, version 22, has many customer-requested features combined with a new EFI integration that elevate the offering to the next level,” says Jay Farr, general manager, EFI Pace. “It’s especially important in today’s environment for print providers to get the most from the systems they have in place, which is why we’ve loaded this version with productivity-boosting features and new cool tools like the iPhone app.”
