North America’s largest printing industry tradeshow comes to New Orleans and the opportunities are endless!
If you’re looking for creative solutions to your creative challenges, plan now to attend the 2017 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, Louisiana, US, October 10–12). North America’s largest printing industry trade show combines over 570 exhibitors, 20,000 industry professionals and more than 40 educational sessions with networking events that combine connections with learning. And the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.
What you’ll see
More than 570 companies will exhibit at the 2017 SGIA Expo, and they serve a wide range of digital and analog technologies, according to Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) President and CEO Ford Bowers. Products on the floor will include everything from dye sublimation technologies to grand format digital printers and direct-to-garment textile printers.
“Nowhere else will you see a broader range of printing technologies and communities coming together,” Bowers said. “The SGIA Expo is the place to be to learn about the newest products and techniques serving your market.”
It’s the place to network, too. Attendees use technologies such as wide format digital imaging, offset and screen printing to serve markets including commercial printing, graphics and sign, garment decoration and printed electronics.
“This show … has something on display, as well as great educational sessions, for every segment of our industry,” said a 2016 attendee.
What you’ll learn
To make smarter, better decisions about your business and your career, you need information — and the education you need is at the 2017 SGIA Expo.
“The Expo floor is a starting point and an education unto itself,” said Dan Marx, Director of Industry Content, SGIA. “What you’ll learn in our educational sessions will complement and expand upon what you’ll see and learn on the floor.”
Those educational sessions number over 40, and are organized in tracks including graphics and sign, packaging and commercial/publication.
Bowers added, “The days of printing with a single technology or serving a single market are long gone. Our educational program and exposition will make printers aware of huge array of market opportunities and technologies available to printers.”
The SGIA Expo + Education Pass grants access to all education sessions as well as the exposition hall. It’s free to registered SGIA members and US$99 for nonmembers (US$115 after September 12). The pass does not include special conferences and events taking place in tandem with the Expo.
Why you’ll want to go
Your education at the Expo actually begins before the Expo opens, with two special sessions addressing implementing wide format digital imaging.
