Fall season – it’s time to make deals

A special thank you to Renee Walsh, VP of Enterprise Sales at the TI Group in Toronto, and Paul McCarthy, Manager of HP Indigo (Canada) for their help in creating this month’s lead article about packaging advancements. Be sure to check out the fascinating story on page 17. Caterina Valentino’s equally compelling feature on automation advancements can be found on page 38, and should be read by all looking for a step up on their competition.

September was a busy month with the kick-off to the fall season. Check out the event recap from Xplor Canada’s Annual Conference: Customer Communication here. Then it was off to the successful Don Morgan Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by The Sign Association of Canada. We were proud to participate as a sponsor of such an outstanding event. We then headed into Sign Expo Canada held on Sept. 20 and 21 at the International Centre. Where we met more new and familiar faces. Photos from the event can be found on page 36-37 We hope to see many of you at Print 19 from October 3 – 5, in Chicago. With final wrap up of the fall tradeshow season finishing in Dallas, Texas at Printing United’s inaugural show from October 23 – 25. So many opportunities to connect with associates and customers this fall.

After 20 years of being a commercial printer, the key focus that drives Graphic Arts Magazine every month is never forgetting that the most important part of any business is its products, sales and services. Yet faced with tighter margins and racing deadlines, time and resources are often the main causes for not being able to deliver effective communication to your loyal, paying clients. So let Graphic Arts Magazine do the heavy lifting for you  – with Marketing Solutions for Canada! We created a new subscription service that will give you access to professionally written and designed newsletter templates, that can be customized to your business needs in just minutes each month. This service was created in partnership with our friends at Marketing Ideas for Printers. It’s shown invaluable results for shops across the U.S., and now we are so excited to launch it in Canada, to help you increase your sales. Please see pages 22-24 for more information regarding Graphic Arts new B2C product lines.

The second feature we have created to drive sales and keep you in the know is the latest edition of the 2019/20 Wide Format Inkjet Guide. A very special thanks to our writers, sponsors and advertisers for making this specialty publication possible. We created the guide to be used as a resource for leaders who are looking to enter or expand their operations into the wide format sector. Our team has worked tirelessly on this, and we are excited to share our research with you!

As always, stay positive and stay focused.
