Callas software releases pdfToolbox 11

Callas software, a market leader in automated PDF quality control and archival solutions, has released “a milestone update” of its pdfToolbox product line – pdfToolbox 11. “This year, it’s all about improvements to automated workflows and making PDF files production-ready,” the company pointed out. The new version introduces significant additions for the sign and display market, the label and packaging market, transactional printing and more.

“PdfToolbox is increasingly used in complex automated workflows, where files need to be handled from quality control all the way to delivery for production,” said Dietrich von Seggern, Managing Director at Callas. “Our goal with version 11 was to make such automated workflows easier to implement.” Version 11 contains an entirely new workflow editor that allows visual building of Process Plans using a familiar drag-and-drop interface. Other major improvements affect hot folder processing, metadata, PDF files with die-cuts, splitting PDF files based on content, JavaScript, reading of barcodes, Convert Color fix-up improvements, and many more.
