The new line of substrates from the U.S.-based company (Fenton, MO) is “a culmination of the top metallic and holographic substrates on the market and the comprehensive answer for amazing applications with a ‘wow’ factor.” It includes card and board stock, papers, polyesters, foils and other options that are “eye-catching and will build brand personality for clients.”
The new line includes Bright Silver Metallized Paper, Rainbow Holographic Paper & Polyester, Matte Silver Polyester, Silver Metallized BOPP, Bright Silver Foil, Silver & Gold Rigid Vinyl PVC, Double Rainbow 12-point cardstock, 3D Holographic Bubbles, Twinkle (a twinkling cardstock with a light-catching metallic sheen), Lava (a cardstock with a liquid metal look) and Silver Rain (another 12-point C2S cardstock with a superior silver look and depth that uses environmentally friendly primer so it’s press-ready and does not degrade the printer blanket with extended use).
The company was founded 1987 and has been an integral part of the U.S. graphic design and print industry ever since. In 2005, HP named Masterpiece Graphix (MGX) as the first North American HP Treatment Center due to its precision coating methods as well as the many substrate solutions it offered HP customers. Over the years, MGX has provided HP Indigo users with over 900 materials – and offers specialty coating and material solutions to all other major digital printers, including EFI Jetrion, Xeikon, Memjet RapidX, Kodak Nexpress, and Xerox iGen.
