Pressdown Services Incorporated (also known as PDS) headquartered in Scarborough, Ontario, has changed its name to Print Digital Solutions operating as PDS. The new name more accurately describes what PDS is all about. When Pressdown Services Inc. opened in 1984, it built its reputation on servicing and rebuilding offset presses. But as time went by and the printing industry evolved along with the new digital world, Pressdown Services also evolved with it and became more about digital printing and finishing, and less about offset. “Today we take great pride in representing the best of the best, both in the print and digital finishing world, with well-known names as Duplo, Mutoh, Oki, Triumph and Ryobi,” the company said.

Since 1984, PDS has been a Canadian leader in supplying and servicing a wide range of printing, finishing and label-making technology to the Canadian market. It has also been instrumental in bringing new technology to our country. For example, PDS introduced for the first time OKI’s 5-colour CMYK+White printing technology. Also, PDS brought the Rapid X1 to Canada – the world’s fastest digital tabletop label press. Following its release was the Eclipse LF3 Digital Label Finisher. Today, PDS is also the Canadian Master Distributor for OPUS Metal Bind Hard Cover Book Binding Systems and Gold Stamping. PDS was also recently appointed by Duplo USA to provide sales and service of Duplo’s line of equipment across Canada.
