oecplatemaking-inOEC Graphics – Canada (Richmond, BC), a pre-media provider to the flexo, corrugated and consumer product markets which opened its doors about a year ago, has been steadily gaining business after adding liquid photopolymer plate production. Producing digital and liquid plates up to 50” x 80” and offering corrugated mounting services as well, the manufacturing facility complements and supports OEC’s other corrugated locations in: Union City, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Chicago, IL; and Appleton, WI. According to Joe Moody, OEC Business Development Manager in the Pacific Northwest: “Bringing the liquid system online in our Richmond, BC facility makes OEC Graphics the only full-service platemaking facility in Western Canada. The production of 100% capped in-position plates sets a new standard not only for the BC market, but continues OEC Graphics’ tradition of being the leader in innovation that benefits our clients. We look forward to further growth as clients in this region continue to discover our expertise.”

Last July, when OEC opened its newest facility in Canada in Richmond, BC, Brad Vette, OEC Director of Business Development said at the time: “OEC is thrilled to have a Canadian operation. We’ve had a vested interest in Western Coastal Canada with some long-term partners in the region, so it made sense for us to make further investment. OEC is excited to have the opportunity to introduce OEC to converters and consumer products companies in the greater Canadian market.” The July 2015 move marked the first time OEC has set up manufacturing outside of the United States.

OEC Graphics (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) is a family-owned industry leader in premedia, flexo platemaking, facilities management, display graphics and brand management (through Amphora Brand Design).
