Print Three, a commercial printer located in Calgary, Alberta, recently invested in a Ricoh Pro C9110 Digital Press. The Pro C9110 handles a wide range of media stocks from 52 to 400 gsm, runs at speeds of up to 130 pages per minute, and delivers “precision printing at near-offset quality,” said the OEM. This new technology now provides Print Three Calgary with the ability to increase its digital offerings and allows them to deliver “the most reliable colour, even during long print runs.”
Mark Eisan, General Manager of Print Three Calgary, was impressed with the consistent and reliable quality of Ricoh’s equipment and added that: “the first copy will look like the last.” The new press provides the capabilities to run even the largest, thickest stock without compromising on speed or quality. The company can also add variable data while printing on a wider range of media, including super-gloss, metallic, coated, transparent and other synthetics. The new press can also accommodate oversized signs, banners, point-of-purchase displays, magnets, envelopes and trans-promotional materials.
The C9110’s automated digital print system also reduces manual touchpoints and has up to 8 vacuum-fed paper drawers to dispatch media more accurately. Print Three can also now preset or customize settings in the extensive paper library for up to 1,000 profiles, and use the Media Identification Unit to reduce its production prep time.
