The dates of the world’s largest tradeshow for printing technologies have been moved back by one week. Drupa will now take place from Tuesday, June 16 to Friday, June 26, 2020. This was agreed to by the drupa Committee and Messe Düsseldorf at their meeting on February 15, 2017. The key argument for this decision was the fact that in some European countries as well as German states, the summer holidays would have already started during the initially planned dates (June 23 to July 3, 2020). By changing the dates, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to requests voiced by both exhibitors and visitors alike. Further explaining the move, Werner Dornscheidt, President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, added: “When we decided to stick to the four-year cycle of drupa in consultation with the leading representatives of the industry during drupa 2016, the majority of holiday dates had not been published yet. Now, we’re really pleased that we can offer this solution. And we’re delighted to be able to act in our customers’ best interests by kicking the tradeshow off one week earlier than originally planned.”
