UK-based Industrial Inkjet Limited (IIJ), manufacturer of bespoke digital print engines based on Konica Minolta inkjet printheads, has appointed Graham Vlcek as President of its United States operations. Konica Minolta’s inkjet printheads are used in a wide variety of applications including packaging, labels, product decoration and security printing, to name a few. Colorado-based, Vlcek has been in the inkjet industry since 2008, operating in engineering, product and technology management roles for companies such as ITW Trans Tech and Imaging Technology International.

His roles at ACS Motion Control and In-Position Technologies provided sales experience in highly technical fields. His diverse background and appointments have given him strong engineering and management skills, backed by technical and sales capabilities.

Vlcek has extensive experience with direct-to-product inkjet decoration systems participating in all phases of inkjet process development. His project experience includes materials pre-treatment, ink development, post-curing and jetting/waveform work for several printhead technologies. Vlcek also has experience in image processing, production workflow, and overall system design and integration across several platforms. Before entering the printing industry in 2008, he worked with precision automation systems. He used those skills to develop complete automation solutions for both scanning and single-pass printing systems.

IIJ Managing Director John Corrall added: “Graham is exceptionally well qualified to take on this position, as we aggressively expand our operations in the U.S. market. We have a huge amount of investment and activity planned in North America, as we do in numerous territories around the world where interest in our technology is rapidly growing.”
