Industry veteran Phillips returns to Agfa Graphics as VP of Newspapers

Agfa Graphics has welcomed Michael Phillips back to the company as Vice President of Newspapers. With more than 25 years’ experience in the newspaper industry, Phillips will help drive strategic revenue-generating initiatives for Agfa Graphics’ comprehensive newspaper solutions. Phillips was most recently the Vice President of Sales and Operations for Southern Lithoplate, rising in the ranks from Director of North American Sales and Director of News Sales. He managed Corporate Accounts and was the Western Regional Sales Manager in previous positions with Agfa Graphics.

More than half of the 520 million newspapers read on a daily basis worldwide are produced with Agfa Graphics’ technology, said the company. Agfa Graphics offers dedicated newspaper solutions that provide publishers with end-to-end workflow automation coupled with enhanced production control. “Proven and cost-effective pre-press systems provide a comprehensive solution for economical operation and profitable growth,” said the OEM.
