Napco (Sparta, NC), an award-winning custom manufacturer of rigid paperboard products and packaging specializing one-stop solutions – from luxury cosmetic and multimedia packaging to turned-edge custom binders, coin collecting products and games – has expanded its gaming market with the installation of the new Slipstream MK II Automatic Card-Cutting System from Rollem International. One of Napco’s vertical product lines produces high quality game boards and boxes, and can also provide customized vacuum-formed trays to accommodate the game components. Game boards can be produced as one or more panels in various sizes.

“To complement our gaming division, we researched options for adding a card converting system in-house and we were lead to Rollem International’s Slipstream MK II system,” said the company. “Upon learning that this specialized slitting, collating, and round-cornering machine is used by the world’s top playing card manufacturers, and after seeing demonstrations of full press sheets trimmed, cut, collated and round-cornered at speeds up to 2,000 sheets per hour with 100% accuracy, we knew we had found our solution.

Our new high-speed card-slitting and collating system has allowed us to grow our card division and produce casino-quality card decks, popular trading cards, and game cards. Now, we convert printed sheets into finished products eliminating multiple steps used in the past. This complete turnkey solution offers our customers a total package – from design to manufacturing and fulfillment in a fast, timely and cost effective manner.”
