CTI Paper expands its Kromekote Collection

CTI Paper (Sun Prairie, Wisconsin) has announced that printing companies, paper distributors, packaging converters, marketers and graphic designers across Canada and the U.S. now have immediate access to the newest expansion of cast-coated Kromekote – “the world’s most elegant printing and label papers” from CTI Paper USA. The super-premium brand targets commercial and specialty printers as well as businesses and non-profits with standard colour copiers. A new swatchbook and print demonstration is also available. Highlights of the new release include:

  • New embossed pearlescent Kromekote Jade Text and Cover line for dry toner/laser and offset printing.
  • New for HP Indigo – thick and luxurious 14-point and 18-point ultra bright-white board, following growing demand for heavy weights.
  • New 18-point ultra bright-white board also for dry toner/laser and offset printing.
  • Newly issued swatchbook presents the extensive product line, while a new print demo features the iconic embossed Kromekote Apple on a gold-foil-stamped cover.

The Kromekote Collection of ultra-gloss printing papers has been regularly updated with new colours, weights and textures to meet the discriminating needs of printers and end-users who demand a specially engineered sheet for premium business and social applications. The company added that it continuously innovates to ensure extraordinary performance on today’s digital printing equipment, including HP Indigo. A proven universal coating also enables Kromekote to be used interchangeably across offset and production-rated dry toner/laser equipment.

Kromekote is well-suited for standard colour copiers used by businesses and non-profits of all sizes, giving them the ability to create premium printed materials in-house that look professionally produced. CTI Paper USA has also won certification for Kromekote on the Konica Minolta bizhub press platform. In addition, it’s engineered to deliver maximum performance on all other digital presses including Xerox, Kodak, Canon, Epson, Oce and Ricoh. CTI now offers HP Indigo papers in a variety of weights and thicknesses, from 8 pt. to 18 pt. (350 gsm), the majority of which are certified by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).

Kromekote is particularly valuable to small and mid-size printers because they can compete effectively on higher-value, higher-margin print jobs. The newly launched Kromekote Jade Text and Cover line, for example, brings highly reflective, embossed pearlescent textures to the brand for the first time. It’s available in luxe surfaces – Brush, Wave, Linen and Pinweave – with immediate availability of folio, digital and cut-size sheets, plus envelopes. In addition, Kromekote features brushed and mirror-finished gold and silver foils in five rich, striking colours. For offset and dry toner/laser equipment, Kromekote features an ultra bright-white universal C1S and C2S sheet in a wide range of weights and sizes. It’s also available in an ultra bright-white C1S label in two basis weights. Applications include folders, presentation covers, packaging, greeting cards, invitations, brochures, direct mail, retail tags and promotional materials. Kromekote products are acid-free, lignin-free, elemental-chlorine-free and, with the exception of foils, recyclable.
