Heidelberg successfully re-certified for quality and environmental management

Press manufacturer Heidelberg (Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG) has successfully completed re-certification to the new management system standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. This means that all production and development locations worldwide, including in Canada – together with their marketing, product management, development, procurement, production and service functions, as well as their support processes along the entire value chain – have been successfully re-certified.

The audit was carried out by certification company DQS GmbH (German Organization for the Certification of Management Systems) that’s authorized by the national accreditation body DAkkS GmbH (German Accreditation Body) headquartered in Berlin. The OEM added that certification to the international ISO standards has been a major part of Heidelberg’s quality and environmental policy for over 20 years. “Heidelberg’s goal is to continuously improve all processes related to quality and the environment. This commitment is insisted upon and appropriately supported by the management,” said the OEM.

“With the ISO recertification for our quality and environmental management systems, we’re emphasizing our high standards in these areas. We see the implementation of the quality and environmental management systems as forward-looking guarantees for the continuous improvement of products and services for our customers and of harmony with the environment,” said Rainer Hundsdörfer, CEO of Heidelberg. “To ensure that Heidelberg remains the benchmark for ambitious performance, the preferred partner for their customers, and a model, sustainable company in the future, our own standards actually exceed the requirements of the ISO standards.”
