Mr. Printer is now ready to finish! The Etobicoke, Ontario company has long been one of the area’s busiest commercial printers. Leading into 2017, the family-run business needed to make an investment to upgrade its finishing equipment in order to better support changes in the various types of jobs coming in – as well as in the staff needed to operate the equipment. So, it recently acquired a full package of the latest equipment from print-finishing specialist Sydney Stone (Mississauga, Ontario). The major installation included a Mohr 80 NET Paper Cutter, Morgana Digifold PRO, Morgana AF System 2000 Bookletmaker with square fold unit, Horizon BQ 140 Perfect Binder and a Challenge EH3C Drill. The shop is now better prepared for the most demanding, next generation of print-finishing needs from growing list of clients.

“With the development our new e-commerce website, we knew our finishing capabilities needed to be looked at to ensure that we can meet the demands and expectations of our client base,” said Nabeela Anjum, Office Manager at Mr. Printer. “Maximum efficiency with quality output was the foundation for our selection of the equipment. More specifically, we now have the ability to do short, medium and longer run booklet making. We’re now offering quick turnaround perfect-binding jobs that we previously couldn’t do. And with the addition of the Digifold PRO Creaser/Folder, we can offer a wide range of paper stocks for folding applications that are full-colour without any cracking. Working with Sydney Stone has been excellent, and their advice and breadth of product knowledge enabled us to pick the items that best suited our needs, while allowing us to invest for the future,” she added.

Sydney Stone was established in 1951 and since that time, has grown to become one of the premier Canadian distributors of print-finishing equipment and supplies worldwide – importing and representing brands such as Morgana, MOHR, EBA, Vivid, Watkiss and Duplo, to name a few. With a focus on the short-run and medium-run print market, Sydney Stone offers cost-effective solutions to the specific challenges found in this segment.
