The Gluefast Company (Neptune, NJ) has introduced a simple, easy-to-use duplexing system ideal for making double-thick and triple-thick business cards. It consists of three basic parts – a glue machine that applies water-based mounting glue to cardstock, an alignment board that serves as a guide for placement of glued sheets using adjustable brackets for different paper widths, and a weighted board that holds glued sheets under pressure for 30 minutes until the glue has dried. Simple to use and maintain, the new system can produce up to 150 glued sheets per hour with one operator.

The Gluefast Company has manufactured gluing equipment and adhesives for the packaging, converting and graphics industries for 79 years. Originally a leading U.S. manufacturer of labels and envelope moisteners, today the company provides high-quality glues, adhesives and application equipment, but has expanded its product line to include pressure-sensitive adhesives, faux finishing and texturizing products, laminating equipment and more. Typical applications include: case and carton sealing; case making systems to make hardcover books; large label mounting for posters, photos and other printed materials; palletize and unitize products for distribution; product assembly; mount, mat and frame prints and photos; and product identification labels and signs.
