This year’s OPIA Excellence in Print Awards entry deadline is Friday, March 30

It’s that time of year again for OPIA members to choose the best printed pieces from all their work done between April 2, 2017, and March 15, 2018 – and get them ready to enter into this year’s Ontario Printing & Imaging Association’s Annual OPIA Excellence in Print Awards Competition. Entries must be received by 5 pm Friday, March 30, 2018 (no extensions will be allowed). Last year, the OPIA awarded over 30 category winners and another four top awards for the best of the section. This annual competition is the best way to have your work recognized by your peers and your clients. Successful members use their wins to market themselves to their clients and attract new business. The cost is $50 per entry (plus HST) and the competition is open to OPIA members only. Any questions concerning the competition – including entry preparation, categories, rules, where to deliver entries, and so on – should be directed to the OPIA’s Sue Bryant at sbryant.opia@on.aibn.com.

By entering the OPIA Excellence In Print Awards competition, you can match your work against the best printers in the province. All winners in each category are also sent by the OPIA to the Printing Industries of America (PIA) as entries in its Premier Print Awards Competition for 2018. So, with your OPIA submissions, you actually have two chances to win! “The OPIA would like to thank all the companies that submit to the OPIA Excellence in Print Awards Competition,” said the organization. “It makes the competition a great success and it’s an excellent opportunity to tell your clients the best work in print is done right here. Thanks also to our judges – Ray Fagan of Heidelberg Canada, Peter Roehrig of Ryerson University, and Myrna Penny of the OPIA – for choosing the best pieces out of so many great ones.”
