The 36th Gutenberg Gala, Quebec’s annual celebration of the best in printing and graphic arts throughout the province (and largest such event in Eastern Canada), was held May 31 at the ballroom of Montreal’s Marché Bonsecours. As always, the awards covered a host of categories including printing, finishing & embellishment, packaging & labels, editing, display and wide-format, marketing & sales and many more. Fifteen awards were given out and printed creations were judged on several key factors – including innovation, overall quality, technical quality and general appearance.

All the entries must have been printed in Quebec between January 1, 2017 and January 30, 2018. Attendees also voted for their favourite printed piece during the event, which was won by Bal Western by L’Empreinte. Congratulations to all the winners and to 2018 Gutenberg Gala President Yvon Sauvageau (President of Multi Bookbinding) and his hard-working staff for organizing another exceptional event.
