The Burke Group of Edmonton, Alberta, a leading Canadian printer specializing in digital and offset printing, design, signage and mailing solutions, is increasing its accessibility in Calgary to better serve customers throughout the province of Alberta.

“We’re committed to consistently increasing our network and value for our customers, so we’ve purchased Printcor in Calgary. We’re moving quickly and strategically to drive the print market forward in Western Canada,” said Ian Burke, owner and CEO of the Burke Group. “Our decision is based on the strong, long-term relationships that Printcor has created with its customers – so our culture of advancing print technology fits well with their organization. More information on this acquisition, as well as other announcements, will be coming in the following weeks,” he added. The acquisition, said the company, will yield additional customer benefits throughout Alberta in terms of additional efficiencies, more accessibility and faster turnaround times.

“I’ve dealt with this group for many years now, and it’s clear that the client-centric management styles of both Ian and myself create a perfect synergy,” added Printcor owner Brent Robertson “I’m excited to watch The Burke Group reach new heights in the North American printing market.”

The Burke Group also bought Topline Printing of Calgary, the largest independent commercial printer in the city. It specializes in digital and offset printing, packaging, prepress, bindery services, mailing services and much more. Both acquired companies will retain their original names, but as a division of The Burke Group. Printcor will also move into Topline’s existing 48,000 square-foot-plant located at 2828 – 19 Street N.E
