Avanti and Enfocus announce software integration

Enfocus (Ghent, Belgium), a leader in PDF quality control, advanced PDF editing and workflow automation for the graphic arts industry, and Avanti Systems (Toronto), a market leader in Print MIS software, have announced a collaborative partnership to provide integrated solutions for the success of their respective customers. The partnership is anchored on an integration between Enfocus Switch software and Avanti Slingshot software.

The combined solution automates repetitive tasks and reduces the number of touch points associated with receiving, sorting, processing and approving PDF files for print. There are no user touch points and all manual work to enter job and production details is now completely eliminated – freeing up staff time for more valuable activities, allowing printers to focus more on their customers and sales activities, shortening turnaround times by moving files to the right place immediately, and reducing the potential for errors.

“Avanti is well-known for boosting the efficiency of a print shop, making important data about jobs available at each stage of production,” said Patrick Bolan President and CEO of Avanti Systems. “And, Enfocus products enhance the quality and processing of the job itself. By using both systems, customers can take their businesses to a whole new level.”

Avanti Slingshot is one of the industry’s most open Print MIS solutions, facilitating a simplified, highly customizable solution delivering the optimal workflow for print shops. Communication between Avanti Slingshot and Enfocus Switch now enables fully automated workflows – from job processing, production and fulfillment, through to distribution – thus eliminating costly, time-consuming manual steps. Users benefit from the combined solution and will work together more efficiently via a more stable, powerful and flexible workflow. The integration also includes the Enfocus PDF Review Module, a simple yet powerful and cost-effective solution for review and approval/rejection of native PDF files, and PitStop Server, for the automated preflight and correction of PDF files.

“Our customers are telling us that in this highly competitive print market, they’re looking for every opportunity to profitably grow their lines of business. In response, our partnership with Enfocus and the Avanti Slingshot integration with Switch 2018 allows our customers to realize the financial benefits of end-to-end automation,” Bolan added. The partnership has already earned industry recognition having been honoured by the Association for Print Technologies (APT) as a Red Hot Technology at PRINT 18. The designation acknowledges print communication technology game-changers.

“The collaboration with Avanti Systems further expands the Switch eco-system for customers who are looking to automate their print production workflow – from job submission through to the delivery of printed products,” said Wim Fransen, Managing Director at Enfocus. “Since manual touch points are reduced, jobs will flow more efficiently and reliably through a print shop.” This, Enfocus added, will make customers more productive and print shops more profitable.
