Mutoh opens new distribution center in California

Mutoh America (Phoenix, Arizona), an industry leader in wide-format inkjet printers, cutters and inks, has begun new operations out of an ISO 9001 distribution center location near the port of Long Beach, in Carson California. Scheduled to make its first shipment from this new location later this month, the facility will offer state-of-the-art inventory tracking to accommodate and manage Mutoh’s increasing demands of its product lines – including printers, cutters and inks arriving from Mutoh’s manufacturing facility in Japan. The expansive warehouse has added to the OEM’s current distribution centres for Canada and the U.S. already in operation in Arizona and Panama, will shorten their time to market, increase flexibility in order processing, improve both quality and operational efficiencies, and offer customers savings in overall shipping costs and expedited shipping times. “This is a huge step forward for Mutoh America,” said President Brian Phipps. “Being in Los Angeles and becoming more efficient, plus lowering costs, are key to any company – and this allows us to do just that!” Mutoh America also has learning facilities in Torrance, California, Chicago, Illinois, and Phoenix, Arizona.
