CJ Graphics of Mississauga, Ontario, already Canada’s most awarded commercial printer, has added an unprecedented 20 Benny Awards to its repertoire. Receiving a Benny Award is similar to winning an Academy Award in the film industry. This is the first time that a Canadian company was awarded the most Bennys – not only in Canada, but worldwide! The PIA’s (Printing Industries of America’s) Annual Premier Print Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievements in print production, and is also the printing and graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious international print competition. The coveted Benny Award is the highest honour that a company in our industry can earn. CJ Graphics also won 42 Awards of Recognition and 83 Certificates of Merit in the 2019 edition of the Premier Print Awards.
Now in its 71st year, the 2019 Premier Print Awards competition attracted more than 2,240 entries from printing and graphic arts firms from around the world, with judges awarding the Benny to the best entry in each specific category. “It’s an honour to be recognized by our industry as a company that produces award-winning print,” said Jay Mandarino, President & CEO of CJ Graphics. With a current total of 66 Benny Awards, plus several other awards won in other competitionsm as well as numerous awards from other industry associations, CJ Graphics has earned a total of 6,500 awards to date – more than any other printing company in the world!
“The Benny winners represent the best our industry has to offer,” said Michael Makin, President & CEO of the Printing Industries of America. “This year’s entries were outstanding, with entries from companies representing 13 countries. Despite the fierce competition, CJ Graphics, through hard work and dedicated craftsmanship, produced 20 pieces worthy of the Benny.” CJ Graphics will receive its Bennys at The Premier Print Awards Reception and Presentation, which honours all the companies that received the award. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the 19East event space in Chicago, Illinois.
