Next DIA Meeting to explore Beyond CMYK options and tools – and what’s new from Printing United

Are your customers demanding more and more 6-colour and 7-colour jobs? And are they unhappy with the results?

The DIA’s (Digital Imaging Association’s) May 2019 meeting – Beyond CMYK Level 1 – brought numerous requests to delve deeper into expanding colour gamut. So the organization accommodated with this “Level 2” meeting featuring three  industry experts who will review various aspects of maximizing colour gamut – including what works and what doesn’t work.

Ray Fagan.

Heidelberg’s Ray Fagan will address the OEM’s solutions to the drive towards utilizing more than CMYK to achieve “spectacular printing results.” Ryerson University’s Dr. Abhay Sharma will look at the possibilities of CMYK + OGV. Spicers Matthew Serwin will explore how the flexo and packaging print sectors are also adopting extended colour options. In addition, two leading printers will share their personal experiences with the technology.

An update from the recently concluded Printing United tradeshow in Dallas, Texas will also be part of this meeting, including what’s new and what technologies are currently driving the marketplace.
