Taking advantage of unique opportunities during this pandemic. How much money do you spend on tradeshows and/or attending conferences and educational events each year? How high are your travel costs (in most cases airfare) and hotel accommodations? Most importantly, how many of these types of events do you miss because you’re simply too busy running your business?

Instead of lamenting the current situation, why not view this as an opportunity to attend dozens of events that are now being offered for free online. I think we’d all agree that keeping abreast of evolving technology and hearing from industry experts helps us to make more informed decisions. You can keep up to date by visiting our website. With that in mind, here are a few excellent events that caught my eye.

• DIA webinar to explore what employers and employees need to know about COVID-19 The Toronto-based Digital Imaging Association (DIA) will be holding its second online webinar for 2020 on Wednesday, May 20. A must-attend.

• San Francisco Design Week 2020 to go virtual June 15 – 25 This 14th Annual event is both informative and a ton of fun and attracts over 60,000 visitors from around the world.

• Global PrintExpo launches as virtual tradeshow in June The U.K.-based Global PrintExpo will be the world’s first virtual tradeshow and conference for the printing industry. The venue and all exhibitor booths will be rendered to real physical dimensions.

• The Packaging Consortium (PAC) is continuing its free Webinar Wednesdays Series on Wednesday, May 13, 20 and 27. More information, including topics, times and registration, is available here:
