Digital Imaging Association updates printing industry on its initiatives

In a recent announcement, the Board of Directors of the Ontario-based Digital Imaging Association (DIA) emphasized that it’s important to keep in touch with its members and the printing industry at large, and bring everyone up to date on its activities, while of course continuing to observe health and safety protocols. Here’s a brief update:

• The Digital Imaging Association, together with officials at St. Andrew’s Valley Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario, have decided to move the organization’s annual golf tournament to Thursday, June 10, 2021. More details will follow. “As an association that values the networking and connections that happen, both at our golf tournament and at our meetings, we have had to pivot during these unusual times – just as our members and sponsors have had to do within their own businesses,” said the organization.

• The DIA will continue to have its meetings in a virtual format starting again in October of 2020, until such time “as it can all come together again safely.”

• The association has formed a Strategic Planning Committee which will analyze the changes happening in society and specifically within our industry. It’ll be looking into new opportunities which have presented themselves during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as examining market trends and forecasting – to offer the most pertinent and valued content to its members, sponsors and the printing industry.

• The DIA will be emailing a survey to its members and others shortly, asking recipients to please to take a few minutes to provide them with feedback. “Only through sharing your opinions, will we be able to provide you with the most valuable experience within the Digital Imaging Association,” the organization added.

• Finally, the DIA would like to personally thank all of its sponsors and members for their tremendous support as they continue to provide timely and valuable content to all its members.

The Digital Imaging Association provides ongoing, up-to-date technical information from users’ perspectives, in addition to networking with peers, a membership directory, regular information-packed meetings on key industry topics and trends, a 20% discount on training through the DIA’s official training organization IBEC Training, direct participation in its Technical and Member Services Committees, and much more. Membership is corporate-based, and fees are priced on a sliding scale based on the size of your business.
