Brand Management Group has reported that HP’s new 20-lb. bond paper with ColorPRO Technology has recently been tested and has yielded up to 30% more colour while using up to 30% less ink – making it possible to print monochrome and colour technical documents at a lower cost than standard bond papers without ColorPRO Technology.
The tests were based on CIElab gamut and ink usage data collected from the HP PageWideXL embedded web server after printing on an HP PageWide XL8000 – compared to plain bond paper (Engineering Paper) from another OEM. HP 20-lb. Bond with ColorPRO Technology is FSC-certified and recyclable – a current requirement for many corporations and government agencies. In addition, HP has designed colour profiles specifically for its use “ensuring reliable high-quality results with precise lines and sharp, fine detail every time,” said HP.
