Kernow releases Jet FloorSharK floor graphic film

Kernow North America’s KernowJet FloorSharK, developed by the Kernow R&D Team, “offers a unique solution for POS displays as well as significant benefits for distributors, printers, installation teams and end-users.” KernowJet FloorSharK is an easy-to-apply and easy-to-remove floor graphic film designed for most types of hard floors and short-pile carpet tiles. Typically, it’ll be used in shopping malls, convention centres, airports and supermarkets on any smooth floors where you want to attract people’s attention. The Kernow R&D team developed a unique “sharkskin” coating technology to ensure a slip-resistant surface tough enough to resist floor-cleaning machines, pallet trucks and stiletto heels. It’s directly printable with all standard inks, and easy to handle and with no residues after removal – all without the need to laminate. The film is manufactured using an ultra-strong polyester base. Its “sharkskin” coating absorbs the ink that then hardens to a tough, non-slip surface. R10-certificated, it’s also scratch resistant. It also offers a wider colour gamut and display “punch” compared to traditional laminated floor graphics, said the company.

The product is printable with eco-solvent, UV curable and Latex inks (HP-Latex certification pending), and is available in 54” and 60” widths to improve production workflow (i.e. less strips to apply). When necessary, installers can easily peel the tear-resistant film off the floor in one piece, with no post-cleaning. “We set the bar high and our standards higher when bringing this idea to our R&D team,” said Bosy Colak, President of Kernow North America. “They’ve delivered and exceeded all expectations – and with this product, we’re also making a huge statement in the world of floor graphics.”
