The Mimaki UCJV300-160 and UCJV150-160 are new 1200-dpi UV roll-to-roll wide-format print-and-cut devices. The UCJV300-160 includes a new function called the 4 layers of print – colour + black + white + colour. Mimaki revealed that the resulting print effect of this is an image that changes appearance between day and night. The newly equipped function of the 4 layers of print (available on the UCJV300-160 only as the white ink is mountable) represents “an amazing image change between day time and night time with eye-attractive expressiveness” to increase signage recognition. The CJV300 Series of printers are high-productivity devices that deliver outstanding image quality, precise dot control, low operating costs and reliable performance with many cost-saving features.

Built on the Mimaki JV300 Series platform introduced in July of 2014, the CJV300 Series “brings advanced print-and-cut operations to this class of printer for the first time,” said the OEM. The series includes new technologies that increase throughput and uptime. Eight ink channels and a variety of colours – including silver – provide the flexibility to produce nearly any application. These models use fast-drying eco-solvent inks that can print on hundreds of media choices – “more than any range used by other inkjet technologies” said Mimaki. The series is ideal for vehicle graphics and wraps, packaging labels, decals, stickers, floor graphics, posters, signage and much more. Maximum print/cut width is 63.3 inches and maximum media width is 63.7 inches.
